CERA Solutions is seeking a Construction Inspector to inspect water systems to establish structural soundness. The Construction Inspector will identify environmental hazards such as deficient water quality, will inspect existing structures, and liaise with clients. To ensure success in this role, the Inspector will apply knowledge of engineering fundamentals and safety regulations. Top candidates will be of unimpeachable integrity, detail-oriented, and assertive.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Examine quality of finished installations for conformity to standards and approve installation.
  • Interpret plans and specifications for construction contractor and discuss deviations from specified construction procedures to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations governing construction.
  • Record quantities of materials received or used during specified periods noting deviations or exceptions to the specifications, drawings, permits, or governing regulations.
  • Maintain daily log of construction and inspection activities and compares progress reports.
  • Prepare sketches of construction installations that deviate from drawings.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, nights, and/or weekends as required per client needs.
  • Ability to navigate study material and pass client acceptance test. (generally, 4-6-hour open book exam pertaining to construction policies, procedures, and construction code literacy).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science/Management or relative field experience;
  • OSHA 10 Hour Certification (minimum);
  • Ability to understand, interpret engineering drawings and specifications;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Available to work shifts and over weekends;
  • Ability to work in confined spaces; and
  • Essential computer skills encompassing MS Office suite of applications.
